Human rights in North Korea remain among the worst in the world. There is no freedom of religion and Christians are often tortured, imprisoned and murdered. Deviation from state doctrine is met with ruthless and devastating punishment. Around 200,000 are believed to be held in prison camps with no hope of release. In desperation, a number of North Koreans risk their lives to cross the border into China, hoping for an escape. However, China repatriates these refugees, who are often then punished along with two more generations of their family.

Persecution News - North Korea

Prayer Points

  • That the 200,000+ prisoners unfairly confined to labor camps would be released
  • That North Korea would open to religious freedom
  • That China would protect those refugees who seek asylum from starvation and persecution and discontinue its practice of repatriation
